Internet Marketing Tips - Keeping Your Fingers On The Pulse
Posted by Goody on 06/14/08 in Business
I was just reading some interesting stuff over at the Warrior Forum. Some guys were wondering if Bill Gates, with all his money, spends any time at forums to see what’s going on. Seems old Bill has noticed that Google keeps tabs on people when they go to web sites to see how much time they spend there. Also seems that Bill has found this to be very interesting. I doubt he actually went to the forums himself to find this out. Probably had some assistant do it, as some of the members at the Warrior Forum have suggested.
Well, I guess if you had Bill’s money you wouldn’t be going to forums either. Heck, if I had Bill’s money I probably wouldn’t be writing this right now but instead would be off on an island somewhere drinking, well, whatever I’d be drinking. But, I’m just a working stiff like everybody else, so i have to keep my fingers on the pulse of what’s going on. And that brings me to my question. Are YOU keeping your fingers on the pulse of what’s going on? Do YOU go to forums?
Beyond forums, do you go to the search engines to see what’s happening in the business world? Do you go to the Clickbank Marketplace to see what new products are out or even what the top products are? If you’re an affiliate marketer, this is almost mandatory. After all, you want to be up on the latest big ticket item, don’t you? And of course don’t forget the other merchant marketplaces like PayDotCom, Sharesale, Commission Junction and the list goes on and on. Some people would be surprised to find out how many places there are online where you can find affiliate products to sell.
What about marketing methods? Are you up on the latest? Do you know just how HUGE video is these days? Do you know what the hottest video sites are besides YouTube? Have you discovered the best way to create videos? Do you know the latest software developments? How familiar are you with Camtasia or even CamStudio? If you’re an Internet marketer, you really should have at least a basic understanding of these things.
You certainly can’t know everything. However, it’s important to try to keep up with as much of what’s going on as you possibly can because the Internet changes almost daily and it’s easy to get left behind.
Keeping your fingers on the pulse of the latest Internet marketing developments is critical to running a successful business. Don’t ever forget that.
To YOUR Success,
Steven Wagenheim
