Home Party Sales Reps - Have A Swap Meet And Boost Your Business!

Whatever you sell, there are other companies out there who would love to have a list of your customers and hot leads. If you sell reading items (books, book lights, etc.), wouldn’t you like a list of Amazon’s customers and hot leads to promote your products? If you sell children’s educational items, wouldn’t you love a list of customers who shopped several times at Toys R Us? These are proven buyers of items that are complementary to your product line. They may very well be purchasers of your product line.

You may not get the lists from these huge retailers, but you can get a list of leads and customers from other direct sellers like yourself. By just offering a few of your own leads, you can get the same amount from sellers of many other items. In no time, you can have a very strong, very targeted mailing list. These leads may be very interested in what you have to offer. For instance, a lover of candles may place regular orders with her local candle sales consultant. She may also enjoy getting promo offers from local women-oriented items (skincare, food, clothing, health items, etc.)

By working with a leads swap or exchange group, you can effectively develop a very strong prospect list with no up-front cost. For example, you can offer 20 solid leads/past customer names and addresses to another seller who sells something your customers may enjoy. She will give you 20 leads. You have easily doubled your leads list.

When swap leads, you should only give names and addresses. Don’t give out personal information like email or phone numbers. Names and addresses are easily found on mailing lists and the internet. Email and phone numbers are not so easy to find and should not be given to anyone. Your customers trust you so don’t betray that trust. However, you can work with a few other direct sellers to have them contact your customers with their promo offers through the mail. You may opt to ask your customers if they would like to receive special offers from a few select sellers of products they may enjoy.

If you and your fellow swappers are discreet and ethical, you can each develop strong prospect lists and grow your businesses without having to purchase outdated leads and mailing lists. By working with an exchange program and sending out regular marketing (newsletters, fliers, brochures, etc.), you can start building your customer base without too much effort or expense. How great is that?
