The first thing to know about psychic readings is that they do not take away your own power of personal decision making. You are in control of your destiny, not a psychic reader. Nowadays, most Tarot readers interpret the Death Card to mean not only the death of some aspect of your life (giving up an alcohol, moving to a new town, graduating from school into the work world), but also the birth of a new aspect of your life. The death of a smoking habit may feel at first like the death of a friend - but it will ultimately bring new life in the form of better health.
The only time the Death Card means physical death is when it’s surrounded by other cards with similar meanings. And even then, it doesn’t mean you’re doing to die. It means simply be careful over the next few days. You’re in charge - not the cards. Always remember that.
2. Exact timing is very difficult to predict, whether you’re asking the Tarot Cards, the Runes, the I Ching, your Power Animals, or a psychic person. You might ask when you will meet your new love. The answer might be 7. That could mean anything from 7 days to 7 years, or from the 7th of the month or the 7th month of the year. If you need to know about timing, the best question to ask is: Will this be soon, or in the future? If your psychic reading does give you an exact date, know that you could meet this new person on that date - or you could meet them a few days before or after that date.
3. You get a better reading if you can be open to the process. That means that at least during the reading, you’ll want to suspend judgment and skepticism, and just go with it. You can always discard information later that doesn’t fit or that you don’t like.
