Okay, so you are sitting at your desk in the office, about to attend the meeting of a lifetime. Your boss had decided to give you one of the most high profile projects you have ever put together. Not only have you worked all week on this, but you barely slept. Your legs keep jumping around, you cannot sit still, your heartbeat is going forever, and you suddenly feel it. Oh no, you think to yourself, I cannot have this happen to me right now! It is that feeling you get just before it happens. You cannot get enough air, your starting to feel lightheaded like you’ll pass out, and you feel like the earth is about ready to swallow you up. You’re experiencing a panic attack.
If this has happened to you before, then you have had one of two reasonable choices. You go with the panic attack, or you learn to control it before it starts. In such a huge technological world we live in, many people have utilized medicine to rid themselves of these attacks. However, when you introduce different medicines into your body, you could potentially be making things worse. Just think of all of the different commercials you have seen in the past three years. As nice as it is that the Food and Drug Administration has no made it necessary for drug companies to release their list of complications, it can be a little unnerving.
Sertraline is used to treat panic disorder and social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia. It is also good for depression and OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). There are far more natural ways to teach yourself to overcome the attacks, and – wouldn’t that be worth something?
It is always good to see a doctor before starting on any kind of relief for your panic attacks – mostly because you may have an underlying problem that you are4 not aware of. However, people who suffer from such constant stresses of work and home tend to be the more likely victims of one or more. In order to control such things, you really have to dig for the root of the problem. It is said that every single person in the world will have at least one panic attack in his or her lifetime, but only twenty-one percent of those who suffer constantly will actually seek help.
I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I would hate to live with such fear. Do something about now, rather than wait. The people in your life need you.

I’ve had panic attacks that have lasted 30+ minutes, and was absolutely certain I was having a heart attack!
