Why E-zine Articles Are Better Than Forum Posts For Making Money Online

Ezine articles may take a little longer to compose than your average forum post, but in my opinion, the benefits far out-way the slap dash approach of the latter. At the time of writing, I had 19 active articles through this site alone. Not very impressive you may say, but consider the wider picture and I am sure that you will come to a different conclusion.
Firstly the main reason that anyone writes articles or submit in forum’s is to get links to their own site or product, that’s the only way to make money online. Even the best sites don’t rank highly on Google or other search engines without back-links but more important is the quality of them. For example, if I were to contribute to a community that discussed the best way to spread butter on toast, and in my signature was a link to a money making site, the algorithms that assess its worth won’t place it very highly. In terms of people viewing your attempt to lure them to your web page it is effectively useless and a more relevant thread will undoubtedly have many more alternatives before yours. Also, many search engines don’t count links on forum pages.
The content of any article you write should be related strongly to your own pages, not only will this achieve a better search engine position but it will entice traffic more suited to your topic. Real hits mean real clicks and real clicks is where the profit is to be found.
So why is my 19 articles more important than my forum posts? Simple, it may only be a few articles that took a little time and effort to write, but they are published over 250 times, and each page containing them has my author biography with a link to my own site. Better than that, they will unquestionably be published on sites that are related to the article contents and hence in turn my own pages since whoever chooses to use them is looking for content related to their own site or blog.
My conclusion is simple, forum posts may reward you with a fleeting glance by some thread viewers, but a well written article published on keyword related sites will generate more targeted hits which are more likely to be converted into the money you are seeking.
