It is true that “The Money Is In The List.” To make money online from your own products or affiliate products you need to build a responsive opt in email.
But how do you build a responsive email list? Size is not what matters here but responsiveness.
List building is not an exact science so there are a variety of ways to build a responsive list. That said, you really need to do the basics. You can make whatever modifications you deem necessary along the way. Whatever you do, you simply must take action. It is no good having courses sitting on your hard drive gathering cyber dust while you try out yet another ecourse. Who says this one is going to be any better than the last?
It is time to put the knowledge you have gained into action. Believe me when I say that you know more than you think you do. No course will do anything for you until YOU do something.
Okay, I have preached enough. Are you ready to take action? Taking action will get you the results you have been looking for.
There are really two main things you need to do to build a list.
1) Build a squeeze page. It’s singular function is to capture the names and addresses of your visitors. Did you know that a good squeeze page can convert up to 40 out of a every 100 of your visitors? Your squeeze page must offer a gift of high value as a fair exchange for the name and address of your visitor. A free ebook, an ecourse or free software are good exchanges.
Sign up to a reliable autoresponder. Cheap is not always best here. Your autoresponder will help you follow up your subscribers with emails and prevent SPAM complaints. Your emails must be of quality content. You want your subscribers eagerly anticipating your next email. A good relationship with your list is the way forward.
2) Get Targeted traffic - every site needs this. I prefer article traffic. It is free. Apart from being free, the traffic from this source is pure quality. By the time your reader gets to your website they already know something about you. They are looking forward to what you have to offer. A relationship is warming up.
Your action plan must include writing and submitting a steady stream of articles to article directories like EzineArticles.com. A search at Google under keyword article directories will give you some more. That said you cannot go wrong with ezinearticles.com and Goarticles.com.
You must then sustain the momentum – keep submitting. Too much traffic is good. The more the traffic the bigger your opt in list. Visit forums. Write about the problems in your niche. Do not forget your problems too.
If you keep up the momentum, you can build a huge email list and do it faster than you really thought possible.
