Who We Are

We attempt to live our lives without desire yet it is so much a part of being human. I have come to the conclusion desire is okay as long as what I desire doesn’t consume or control me. Getting what we want is not the most important thing and it should never be at the expense of someone else.

Do you remember having a day or an hour or a moment when life felt completely perfect? Not your job, your house, your finances your life. You felt light as if you could float way nothing was particularly different except you. You felt safe and at peace like everything was going as it was meant to be. It is funny but millions of people pretend to live this life, while few do. We get so tied up in who we are, where we work, what we drive, basically in our ego our spirit gets left behind. We don’t nurture it, we don’t connect to it and often we don’t acknowledge it. Yet it is always there to guide and help us find our purpose, our peace our perfect moments.
At any moment we can find a million things wrong with the world. Yet if we stop for a moment and look a little longer we can instead find many things to celebrate. A tree that is nearly broken by the storm becomes a step to a child and the tree a lifetime friend. A cloudy day that was suppose to be clear a photographer captures the beauty of the sunset that you can almost hear. In these moments we discover the true beauty we hold inside. If we are able to look beyond the surface and see the true wonders that life holds we will discover there is so much more to life than what we see with just our eyes.
