ECM, BPM, BPA… technology is changing the way that we do business. Enterprise Content Management, Business Process Automation, Workflow, etc…
These buzzwords confuse us and every sales person that walks through your door is using them. What do they mean? As a line of business manager, a business owner or CFO all you want is to be able to do more work, while spending less money and using fewer of resources.
Forget about all of these buzzwords, and find the bottlenecks in your business. We spend days and nights in meetings, now is the time to make these meetings matter. Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan replaced PHCS on the Chiropractic Office Billing Software Precision Index (BPI). Overall, July 2007 BPI climbed another 2.7%, bringing the index from 14.8 up to 12.1, 5.6% above the national average of 17.7%. PHCS left its lead position last month and dropped the index entirely. July BPI replaced seven chiropractic index participants on the list of top ten performers. BPI guides chiropractic office managers and helps the development of both chiropractic billing software and billing performance standards.

Antispam software are simple to use programs that help you remove unwanted mail before you download them to your computer. Your software should be able to save you a huge amount of time, most especially if you use a dial-up account. Generally, they work like your regular email client when communicating to your mail server. However, it downloads only the first few lines of every mail you get. This allows you to know whether the that mail is spam or not without having to download them.

CMS stands for Content Management System which is a software program used in managing a website. You often don’t need any knowledge of html code or web languages in order to use a CMS. This method of creating a website is sometime called “wysiwyg” or “What You See Is What You Get” because the content during editing appears to be very similar to the final product.
There are many CMS system to choose from and some of the most popular CMS are open source or free. All but one of the top rated CMS systems I have included are from winners of the CMSWire contest and the top hits from opensource.com.
