Toxins are an integral part of our everyday lives. Pollution, pesticides, cigarettes, bad water and harmful cleaning products are only a few of the different sources of toxins that can cause our bodies to malfunction and that we come in contact with on a daily basis.

The benefits of taking vitamins is still being debated by scientists and doctors; however the general consensus seems to be that, when taken properly, they at least are not generally harmful. Some of the vitamins can build up to toxic levels in the human body. Any of the fat-soluble vitamins can reach dangerous levels if taken in excessive amounts.
Fighting the aging process with vitamins and supplements has been gaining popularity over the last 50 years. These anti aging vitamins and supplements range from everyday multivitamins to products that claim to increase levels of certain hormones or to reduce certain chemicals found it the human body in the body to make people more youthful. There are certain benefits and risks involved in taking these vitamins and supplements.

Most people may realize that vitamins and minerals are two different things, but they probably do not know what vitamins and minerals their body needs and what they are good for. Vitamins, for example, are essential to life; regulate metabolism and assist the processes that release energy from digested food.
They also work with enzymes as co-enzymes, enabling the body to perform its activities, or build and feed cells. Vitamins are also either water soluble or fat soluble.
